Adaptive Sports Wheelchairs for Veterans
Every Wednesday, wheelchair and disabled veterans gather through our partnership with MACS (Military Adaptive Court Sports). Thanks to community support that provides donated court time, they are able to play free of charge — building camaraderie, strength, and confidence.
But there is one barrier we are working to remove.
Adaptive sports wheelchairs — designed specifically for court mobility — cost between $3,000 and $7,000 each.
Without them, participation can be limited. With them, freedom expands.
Give ’Em Heaven is partnering with MACS to help fund the purchase of additional sports wheelchairs, which will have a significant impact on veterans by allowing more of them to play, compete, and reconnect in community.
This isn’t just equipment. It’s access. It’s dignity. It’s movement restored. And through membership scholarships, we aim to ensure that every veteran has the opportunity to participate.

One of the most meaningful ways Give ’Em Heaven serves our community is through membership scholarships.
Over time, individuals and families have quietly reached out — seniors on fixed incomes, veterans, single parents, and others navigating financial strain — expressing a simple desire:
“I just want to be part of this community.”
For many, pickleball is more than exercise. It is social interaction. It is routine. It is connection. It is laughter in the middle of a heavy season.
Through scholarships, Give ’Em Heaven has helped remove financial barriers so that individuals can participate weekly and monthly — not as guests, but as full members of a thriving community.
The impact goes beyond the court:
Sometimes the greatest gift is not something extraordinary.
Sometimes it’s simply being included.

Not every impact story happens on a court.
Sometimes it looks like a single mom trying to help her teenager take the next step toward independence — but not having the financial margin to make it possible.
Driver’s education was required in order for the teen to obtain a license. Without it, transportation to school, work, and daily responsibilities would remain limited. The desire was there. The opportunity was not.
Through Give ’Em Heaven, funding was provided for the driver’s training course.
The teenager completed the program.
Earned their license.
And gained independence.
It wasn’t a large initiative.
It wasn’t a public campaign.
It was simply a moment when a need crossed our path — and we responded.
Sometimes impact looks like mobility restored on a court.
Sometimes it looks like mobility restored on the road.
Both matter.
